Large Scale Hydraulic rock SPlitting

When Blasting is not an option due to a rock's proximity to an existing structure other extenuating circumstances a much better solution than traditional hydraulic hammering of the rock, especially if it is very hard rock such as granite or limestone, is Hydraulic Rock Splitting.

When there is more than just a boulder or 2 that needs to be removed, and there is room to get a large machine to the area, the best option is our Darda C20 Rock Splitter which can split huge granite boulders in mere seconds.

American Rock Mechanics is on the forefront of this new technology, as at the time of purchase our new tool was only the 20th of its kind in all of North America. This tool used 3 inch holes drilled by one of our large hydraulic rock drills to mechanically break rock utilizing an amazing 1800 tons of splitting force, more than 4 times the amount of our smaller hand held unit.
